Design Statement
A design always originates with a problem, and it is the designers job to find the best solution to that problem. The target audience must fully understand the designs that have been created in order to influence their response.
When it comes to design, communication is key. What are you trying to say? Who are you trying to influence? What response are you trying to evoke? These are the kinds of questions that need to be asked before starting a design, and having clear and open communication with clients is extremely important in the process of answering these questions. This mentality gives me the ability to focus on even the smallest details of a project which helps unify and organize the solution.

My inspiration for new designs stems from my own past and present everyday experiences. I enjoy keeping an open mind and eye to the rising trends in our culture as these will have some of the biggest impact on the specific way a target audience responds to a design. In this increasingly image-heavy culture, representational images tend to be more relatable, which is why I lean more towards that style.

The responsibility I have as a designer is not taken lightly, and I have a passion for continual learning and growth which allows individuals to interact with my designs in a meaningful way.
